For the donation of the iOS titles, thanks to: O’Reilly Media

What can we really say other than we love you all? We have had some absolutely amazing authors who have posted some amazing posts.

Every single viewer we have had has really helped this site develop and an even bigger thanks to all those who have commented, retweeted, shared and liked this blog.

We have worked very hard to secure you guys and girls some amazing competitions, bring you some absolutely unmissable posts and generally tried to make this site the best it can be. It brings a tear to our eyes when we see how much you have all appreciated it.

Let’s Reminisce

iOS-Blog was thought of one crazy, hazy and sunny afternoon whilst I Mark Petherbridge was ranting over skype to a fellow designer about not being able to find a free, one stop, decent iPhone Application development blog for tutorials, resources, competitions and interviews. This guy, James and I decided that it would be good to collaborate on a resource and share our knowledge as we both were embarking on the path of iOS Development. Sadly, James could not continue this through and thus it fell to me to lead the way.. alone :(

For those of you that have been with us since the very beginning you might remember that our blog used to look like this:

We have improved it a little, right?

Development of iOS-Blog began very slow as I was also trying to fund raise for Amnesty International. I am walking the Great Wall of China in September. Check my progress

The Present

We are still continuing to find authors for our blog, advertisers and followers. Through BuySellAds, our third part ad-management company we have ascertained that we are averaging at around 20,000+ impressions per month and we are growing.

Well, obviously the present design is the one you are viewing now. We would really appreciate all comments and criticism about the current design as we are currently working on design v3. which brings us to…

The Future

Currently, we are working on v3 of a design which should hopefully make this site easier to navigate, fix those bugs that have been mentioned and bring in some new and exiting features like: Request a tutorial, Related posts, Rating, Member sign ups and much more. I suppose you’ll all have to stay tuned for this.

As soon as we know more about any of the above we will of course tweet it from the Official iOS-Blog Twitter. Why not follow us?
